Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between packages?

The difference between each package is the canvas size, which affects the level of detail I can achieve. All of the canvas sizes are large scale, allowing for a high level of detail and realism. However, the larger sizes allow for me to capture more details in all elements of the portrait.
Do you travel?

Yes! I can travel anywhere, but take limited international weddings each year.

Travel fees for interstate weddings within 50 miles of Redlands, CA are included in each package.

Travel fees for interstate weddings that are 51-250 miles from Redlands, CA start at $150.

Travel fees for interstate weddings that are over 250 miles from Redlands, CA will be quoted individually based on travel requirements.

Travel fees for out-of-state and international weddings will be quoted individually based on travel requirements.
How far in advance should I book?

I would strongly recommend booking 6-12 months in advance. Once you have booked your venue, I recommend getting in touch with me! Depending on my schedule, I may be able to accept your request if you reach out within 6 months of your wedding day, but please reach out for my availability!
How do I book?

1. Leave me an enquiry with information about your wedding day.

2. If I'm available on your wedding day, I will respond with an email locking in your date, as well as a contract and invoice.

3. A 20% payment (plus travel fee) and signed contract within 14 days is required to complete the booking, with the remaining balance to be paid 14 days prior to the wedding.
How does live wedding painting work?

Each wedding is different, so I make sure I work to fit seamlessly into your schedule for the day. We will have a full consultation 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding to finalize every detail.

On your wedding day, I will arrive 1-2 hours prior to the moment you wish to capture (ex: your first look, the ceremony, a moment from a photoshoot, your first dance). During this time, I set up my materials.

When it is nearing the time you'd like captured, I will meet you at our pre-discussed location. For example, this could be your ceremony space, your favorite area of the venue, the dance floor, etc. Once I'm there, I will get a bunch of photos of the moment as it happens.

I will then use my reference photos to paint your portrait during the reception, where your guests can come by and watch the portrait come to life!

At the end of the evening, I will show you the painting and then bring it with me to my studio for touch-ups.

I allow 12 weeks to complete the painting. However the painting may be complete in as little as 4 weeks, or occasionally 16 weeks if additional drying time is needed.

Once it is dry and varnished, I can either deliver the finished painting in person or ship it to you at no extra cost.
